Wiki work

10/16/08  Created my wiki page and became a member of the writing in the digital age wiki.

10/18/08 Started a wiki on Presentation Zen by Garr Reynolds.  Inserted a couple of external links (www.garrreynolds.com/ , plugin_helper.php ) and included an image of the book.  Inserted a you-tube video but was unable to embed a slideshare presentation - provided the URL instead (www.slideshare.net/garr/sample-slides-by-garr-reynolds ).  I linked the page internally to the Writing in the Digital Age wiki and inserted the page into the Writing in the Digital Age folder.

10/19/08 Tried again to embed the slideshare presentation into the Presentation Zen Wiki but was unsuccessful.  I saw that Deanna got a slideshare presentation "Thirst" (www.slideshare.net/jbrenman/thirst ) into it, and I just can't figure out why I can't get the one I want in there. 

10/20/08   Added "ryzecom" to Deanna's social networking page.  Included link to ryze; an image of the ryze opening page; and a link to a blog on, how to prosper on ryze.  Added more tags.

10/21/08  Wrote a summary on Chapter 6, Smart Leaves, and forwarded it as a word file to Taylor in her digital age blog. Read over all new info posted today.  Saw that Jacob had the same problem I had in getting slideshare onto Presentation Zen page.

10/22/08  Added link to "What is Second Life" page to our iTunes U Second Life enhanced podcasts.  Added missing member names to the list on the front page (Taylor, Jessica, Sarah).  Collaborated with Taylor on our chapter summary, getting ready to load it on the wiki.  Embedded a Youtube video on David Weinberger introducing "Everything is Miscellaneous" to the wiki page of the same name.  Read over "Here Comes Everybody" wiki - very impressed

10/23/08  Made Chapter 6, Smart Leaves, Wiki page for Everything is Miscellaneous after working together with Taylor.  Added a link to this page to actually view chapters 6 & 7

10/24/08 Added info to Education and Technology page about Mark Bauerlein.  Link inserted to read his Britannica blog (www.britannica.com/blogs/2008/10/turned-on-plugged-in-online-dumb-student-failure-despite-the-techno-revolution/ )and view a picture of his book.  Inserted link to a video (www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video/main500251.shtml) with students as well as Mark Bauerlein. Added tags to a couple of pages. 

10/26/08  Inserted links into wiki work diary of changes or contributions I've made thus far.  Inserted delicious link and made spelling and grammar corrections to The Laws of the Jungle.  Added a you tube video to Everything is Miscellaneous relative to the topic of third order organizing.  Added a slideshare presentation to Laws of the Jungle within Everything is Miscellaneous wiki. 

10/27/08  Linked a chapter 3 summary for Shirky's book to Here Comes Everybody.  Inserted a you tube video on how the internet is affecting the now and the future.

10/29/08  Made spelling correction in Education and Technology page.  Linked The Geography of Knowledge page to the Everything is Miscellaneous page.  I wanted to place the page I had started titled "Everyone is a Media Outlet, Ch 3" into the writing in the digital age folder but it would not accept it because of a period or something like that.  I tried to rename that page and was unsuccessful.  I then recreated the page, called it Everyone is a Media Outlet and placed it in the appropriate folder and linked it to Here Comes Everybody.  I then went back and tried to delete the original page and could not do it.  I really want that page deleted so I asked Prof. Reid for advice on that one.  Grammatical changes made to The Order of the New Order page.

10/30/09  A few spell corrections here and there.  Added a couple youtube videos (www.youtube.com/watch , www.youtube.com/watch)to the Mark Bauerlein section of the Education and Technology page. 

10/31/08 happy halloween  Added new page,  Social Capital According to Clay Shirky to Social Capital page. Added a Clay Shirky youtube video on Internet Love.

11/2/08  Linked several pages together in regard to Everything is Miscellaneous and Here comes Everybody.

11/3/08  Added content to Politics and Technology in regard to electronic voting with links to articles in regard to the same. (NY Times, Wired, TTBR, and Berkeley).  Inserted link to enhanced second life iTunesU podcasts onto Vicki's page Second Life Presentations.

11/5/08  Added MIT Convergence Culture Consortium webpage link and a link to description of Convergence to the wiki page Convergence Culture: Where Old and New Media Collide.   Later added Henry Jenkins weblog and PDF page about Convergence Culture.

Created new page Spoiling Survivor and linked it to Convergence Culture wiki page.
